FISHING &BOATING LAKE MILTON STATE PARK Lake Milton offers the best in water recreation. Boating, swimming and fishing are popular. Designed for unlimited horsepower, boaters have access to three launch ramps (seasonal dock rentals available and courtesy docks are provided near the causeway on the west side of the lake). • diverse fish community that includes largemouth and smallmouth bass, bluegill, crappie and channel catfish, as well as walleye and muskellunge (both of which are stocked by the Division of Wildlife) • trophy muskellunge caught occasionally • host to 2015 Major League Fishing Show BERLIN LAKE Several boat launching sites and commercial boat liveries provide fishing access to Berlin Lake. Spring is the best time to fish the lake; live bait and spinning lures are most effective. • diverse sport fish populations which include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white bass, walleye, white crappie, black crappie, bluegill, channel catfish, brown bullhead and muskellunge • walleye, bass and crappies are predominant Fishing in April, May and June produces good to excellent catches of largemouth bass, walleye and crappies. Good catches of channel catfish are made throughout the fishing season, but July and August are the best months. Bluegill are caught throughout the season.
