Holiday Greetings from the General Manager Dear Friends of the Willard InterContinental, This holiday season marks my first year anniversary as General Manager of the Willard InterContinental. I have enjoyed meeting many of you and am thankful for our partnerships. On behalf of the entire staff, it is truly an honor to serve you. It has been quite an exciting year. I had my first taste of how dynamic Washington, DC can be during a Presidential Inaugural, only to be awed with the spectacular display of Cherry Blossoms and now the vibrant colors of Fall. I was reminded of the Willard’s integral part in American history at pinacle moments of world changing events, as we celebrated the 50th anniversary of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s I Have a Dream speech. As we close 2013, it’s important to reflect on how each of us have contributed toward making this a better world for those we are blessed to touch each day. It is my hope that 2014, will go down in history as a year filled with events which make us proud to be citizens of the world. I wish each and every one of you and your loved ones, a healthy and prosperous New Year.
